Bismillah,
Assalaamu Alaikum brothers and sisters,
I hope and pray that this reaches you in the best of health/imaan.
Helen Keller ones said "the best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart." This is exactly the state of our Ummah today, we have never seen or touched the prophet (PBUH) yet we love him with all our heart-or so we claim. How much do we really love the one who was sent to us? The one who wept for our sake, the one who called us his brotheren? Really look deep within your soul, search your heart and ask yourself how much do you really love Mohamed (PBUH)??
Lets think about what love is for a second, when someone is in love what do they usually do? Imitate the other person? Learn so much about what the other person likes and dislikes, talk, walk, smile and dress like that person? long and yearn to meet the beloved? Just look at those who love the Super stars of today.......they have posters of their favorite singer/actor on the wall, know every movie or song they did, know their date of birth, what school they graduated from and even the kind of tooth paste they use!!! subhana'Allah, our generation gives so much attention to the celebrities of Hollywood and Bollywood. We have forgotten about the greatest man who has EVER set foot on this earth. The man who brought peace and justice. The man who was known to be the best leader of the Muslimeen. The man whom Allah described as "mercy to all creation." They have forgotten about Mohamed salallahu alahi wasalam!
The prophet (PBUH) said, "the people who love me are the people who will come after me, they will wish to sacrifice their family and wealth just to see me." Are you such a person?
Lets talk hypothetically, say that the prophet salallahu alahi wasalam was at Madina...and he just arrived there. Would you live all your wealth, your family and all that you ever had just to have a glimpse of his face?? would you really do that?.............loving someone is not just by mouth. When we love someone, we dont just stop at "I love you" we do whatever we can to please them. It bothers us to ever see them sad, all we ever want is to always talk about them, mention them in our prayer, imitate them on every level. It hurts our hearts to do that which they dislike. The similitude of loving the prophet is that of loving someone special. He deserves our hearts....not just half of it-but ALL OF IT!
The love of the prophet is manifested in our words and our deeds. One who loves Him, tries to pray like him, talk like him, walk like him, knows all about him and spends each and every waking moment praying to be united with him. The prophet salallahu alahi wasalam wept for us....yes wept for us. Subhana'Allah, and how do we repay him? We go against his sunnah...that is how we repay! But it is up to us to change ourselves to make a U-turn and follow his foot steps.
The first step is to learn about his love, wallahi you cant love someone you dont know about! Learn about the man who has brought the greatest message of Islam, the seal of the prophets. I cannot mention him in just one post nor can I ever mention him salallahu alahi wasalam enough, but I can tell you that when Mohamed salallahu alahi wasalam becomes more beloved to you than your family.....then and only than did you become a true believer!!
For more on this man....I recommend you read his seerah (story) and watch the following video:

The question stands still..........how much do you love Muhamed salallahu alahi wasalam??
